Dedicated To Preserving Native American History

North American Archaeological Institute is working with regional educational institutions, libraries, museums, and archaeological and historical societies, in an attempt to bridge the gap between the scholarly endeavors of archaeologists and the public at large. For too long archaeology has been a somewhat misunderstood discipline. Through a unique educational program consisting of slide presentations, lectures, and exhibits, NAAI is generating community appreciation for America's fascinating prehistoric past, while compassionately raising public awareness about the plight of modern Native Americans.
NAAI has also taken a positive stand in the pursuit to salvage, document, and preserve Native American cultural remains. Decades of farming, urban sprawl, looting, and vandalism have taken a heavy toll on ancient aboriginal sites, both locally and across the country. However, it is not too late to save what remains. Once caring individuals and communities begin to realize that their support and involvement are crucial to the advancement of modern archaeology, we can all join together, working to leave a lasting legacy of Native American history for future generations.
